Timing is everything. 


For YNOIR luxury earphones we collaborated with Visual ID, a design agency with talented Industrial designers. 



The gold-plated earphones assembeled by hand, the unique packaging, the branding, photos & videos as well as the webshop was produced in tandem over the course of eight months, culminating with a product-launch at Pitti Uomo in Florence, Italy. Press followed in various global magazines such as Forbes (US) and Monocle (UK), and our designs found their way into retail stores such as Harvey Nichols in London, Jades in Dusseldorf and The Listener in Frankfurt. 



But timing was not on YNOIR’s side. One month after the company launched, Apple changed their earphone-jack from the previously universal 3,5mm, to their new standard lightning-jack, making earphone distributors and retailers around the world pause new model purchases. 



The development of YNOIR and our responsibility for production, design and marketing gave deep insights into vital aspects of manufacturing on top of our knowledge in communications. The process has  been of tremendous value in our work with successful brands ever since.
